the tale of Despereaux.

This term we are reading the Tale of Despereaux. Miss Tisdall gave us a sentence from the book and we had to write what happened next. This is the sentence she gave us.


The beating of the drum let them know that an important decision would have to be made one that affected the safety and well-being of the entire mouse community.

this is what I wrote...

Despereaux could hear drums going bing bang boom in the distance. He was getting scared he didn’t know what it was. He zig zags down the old wooden stairs to the drum sound. He sees all these people  making so much noise. He look at them confused and they looked at him confused. He walked to the drums and he found a beautiful girl playing the drums and fainted onto the floor.

When he woke up he found himself in a room he couldn't quite figure out what room he was in. Looking around and he screamed at the top of his lungs.

PrEP mini market

At Grey Main school we had PrEP. Prep is when we all make things to sell at a market. We run a business in our groups to try and make some money. The currency that we are using is called Kiwis.  We had the mini market it was very busy in Mamaku hub everyone was making stuff and selling  it  but our group did not sell our stuff at the mini market. We still needed to work on our fish in a jar for big market. In my group was me Shilah,Allie,Tayla,Junior,Kahn,Byron and Brennan. This is a photo of what we are doing.

Tuesday 14th 2018


On Tuesday Mamaku 3 went to the Arahura marae we went with Rata 4 Pohutukawa 3 and Totora 3. When we first got out of the car we went and found our buddy's then walk towards the marae. We sat down and Matua T talked for a while then we did the hongi. We went and had food which was cake, apples and savouries. We all finished our food, went back to the Marae and Matua T told us some stories. We did our mihi and then when Matua t finished talking we left and we went back to school. I learnt that all the carvings in the wharenui has a story.
